PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. BY DOWNLOADING, ACCESSING, OR USING THE ORBIT MOBILE APPLICATION ("ORBIT" OR "THE APP"), YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT EXPRESSLY AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE APP.
These terms and conditions (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Fjord Studio ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
By downloading, accessing, or using Orbit, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. "You" means you, the user of the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Orbit. Where your country sets a higher minimum age of digital consent (for example 16 in some EU countries), you may use Orbit below that age only with the consent of a parent or guardian. By using Orbit you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Orbit for your own personal, non-commercial relationship management, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
"Your Content" means the contacts, notes, interaction logs, reminders, messages, and other information you enter into Orbit.
Orbit lets you store information about other people (your friends and family). You are responsible for that information and for having a lawful basis to record and keep it, and for honouring any request from those people to correct or delete it. Please do not store information you are not entitled to keep. See Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.
Orbit relies on third-party services including Google (Firebase and Google Play) and AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI). Your use of the app may also be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability is outside our control.
Orbit — including its software, design, and the "Orbit" name and logo — is owned by Fjord Studio and protected by applicable laws. Except for Your Content and the licence granted to you in these Terms, nothing here transfers any intellectual-property rights to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orbit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you, and your mandatory legal rights are not affected.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fjord Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Orbit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where that cannot be done by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory consumer rights. Where our liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum amount permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Orbit after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Norway, unless mandatory law allows you to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
